Get ready to ride the wave of fresh talent with K.O. Da Prynce, the Atlanta-based rapper and producer who's making waves in the music scene with his latest single, 'Calm To Yo Storm.' With his genre-fluid style and unapologetic lyrics, Prynce is proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the industry. As an independent artist, he's not holding back, and his passion and dedication to his craft are evident in every note he drops. In this interview, we'll dive into the inspiration behind 'Calm To Yo Storm,' Prynce's creative process, and what drives him to keep pushing the boundaries of his art.

Q: What fuels your musical passion, and what keeps your creative juices flowing?

K.O DA PRYNCE: The simple answer is life. As long as I am living and experiencing life, I'll always have something to pull from creatively. As an artist, my job is to tell a story whether it's mine or not. We have to use our voices to advocate for the ones who cannot be a voice for themselves, but also it's important to have fun in the midst of creating or it becomes mundane. I also enjoy battling myself in the mirror for exercise to keep me sharp.

Q: You said "Calm To Your Storm" was sparked by an incredible friend – can you spill the beans on that story and its influence on the song?

K.O DA PRYNCE: So I have two amazing women to thank for this track: a good friend of mine (shout out to Goddess Thunder) and my lovely wife, of course. We should all know how I feel about Black women at this point, but if not, they are held in the highest regard in my eyes.

Thunder is definitely a fan of my work as well as a dear friend, so when she asked me to give her a song, I felt it necessary to bring an element of my music that people don't normally see from me. Of course, my wife is responsible for the feelings conveyed, so I thank them both immensely.

Q: Who are your musical muses, and how do they shape your work?

K.O DA PRYNCE: I don't have any muses per se. I don't really look to humans outside of human experience for inspiration. Most of the time, my emotions serve as my "muse," if you will. Most of my works are created through the way I either feel in the present moment or have felt before. Sometimes I am able to embody emotions for situations that are not my own. The perfectionist in me ensures that the finished product is enjoyable.

Q: How do you envision your music’s future evolution, and what surprises do you have in store for your fans?

K.O DA PRYNCE: As I grow on my journey, it will most certainly reflect in my music. I consider myself a forever student of life; in essence, I am never truly done growing and learning, which is why my stage name is K.O. Da Prynce. Knowledge Of Da Prynce. Prynce signifies that I am always being groomed for this kingdom of mine that I rule over.

To become a king is almost like saying you know everything you need to rule. So while I'm forever growing, no one else can become king of my kingdom. Just stay tuned and travel through this journey we call life with me; you never know what could happen or who you could see me on a track with.

Q: Coming from a city like Atlanta, known for its legends, how do you plan to make your mark and stand out?

K.O DA PRYNCE: My originality and my versatility are what separate me from the sheep, if you will. To me, the word legend implies that this person stopped at nothing to improve their craft over the length of not only their career but through life as well. That is highly respectable in my eyes, and on my quest to only get better, I can only hope to become a respected legend in my own right.

Q: What’s on the horizon for you as an artist? Any exciting projects or releases you can tease us with?

K.O DA PRYNCE: So I've been collabing with Ghost writers productions for my beats for the upcoming album. They are pretty much family to me and Shout out to Mr. Mayor because when I tell you this man embodies everything i need to express musically it's insane.

I have a lot of different avenues i want to explore as far as my creativity is concerned and nothing is outside of his comfortability. The album is titled BlackOut and it's going to give my fans a lil dive into who I am as not only the Prynce but as Devin, the man behind the artistry. Hope yall enjoy because I enjoy sharing as much as I do creating.
