Q: Congratulations on your upcoming single, "Options," dropping on April 18th! What can you tell us about the inspiration and the story behind this track?
HAVANA: Thanks! To be honest, I love making alternative R&B/neo-soul music, so naturally, I gravitated towards the beat. When I hear a good beat, melodies flow, then lyrics come after! My lyrics are fictional (I’m in a very happy relationship), but I always base my lyrics on other people’s experiences.
Q: You're described as fashionable and someone who delivers the rollercoaster emotions of love songs. How does your personal style influence your music, and how do you translate those emotional journeys into your songwriting?
HAVANA: I love the streetwear look, but I also love dressing up like a Barbie - I'm like a mix of grit & fancy, so I love making pretty but raw music that comes from the core.
Q: Being a young female R&B artist from London, how has the city and its diverse music scene shaped your sound and your artistic identity?
HAVANA: I grew up in a musical family, with my dad being a pioneer of jungle drum & bass music, so music has always been in me. However, I feel like R&B is a very untapped market in the UK, and now there are so many girls trying to make it work and get heard - and I just love being a part of that movement.
Q: What kind of sound and vibe can listeners expect from "Options"? How does it represent your overall musical style?
HAVANA: I feel like OPTIONS is a perfect embodiment of my musical style - if you like deep, soulful alternative music then it’s definitely for you.
Q: When did you first realize that you wanted to pursue a career in music, and what has your journey been like so far?
HAVANA: I’ve always wanted to be a singer since I could remember. I studied music in college and started releasing music at the age of 16, and I've been chasing the dream ever since! I’m looking for longevity, not a quick 15 minutes of fame, so I understand it’s going to take hard work and time to get to where I want to be.

Q: Following the release of "Options," what else can fans expect from you in the near future? Are there any plans for an EP, album, or live performances? Any dream collaborations you have for the future?
HAVANA: I may drop an EP next year, depending on how things go, my demand, and growth - but this year I will drop a couple more bangers and see where things go. I always go with the flow. My dream collaborations would be with Kendrick Lamar & Pharrell - that’s my ULTIMATE dream!
